We're Engaged!

Michael and I are so happy to share with you that we're engaged! On Christmas Eve, Michael planned a special day for us filled with little thoughtful surprises. In the late evening, he asked me to marry him at the very table where we had our first date almost 12 years ago. He brought a bottle of vintage Champagne from the year we first moved to New York, and we drank and ate and laughed like two kids for hours. Come to think of it, I think there were actually a few high-fives slapped across the table for good measure. 

I wanted to tell you so it could feel that much more real. I hope you had a lovely holiday and wishing you a wonderful new year!

Soledad Barrio y Noche Flamenca

Last year, I spent New Year's Eve with my best friend at a flamenco performance at The Cherry Lane Theatre, just down the street from my old apartment in the West Village, and I have to tell you, it was a-mazing!

I'm so excited that Soledad Barrio and Noche Flamenca is back in New York from December 31st to January 6th at Joe's Pub. It's such a fun, sexy show. I adore anything Spanish, but the Spanish guitar and that dancing, whew! it's fueled with so much passion, it's hard not to get caught up in the rapture. 

So, if you're in town and you feel like venturing out, this spicy performance is a great way to kick start the evening on a fancy foot.
