Hello, dolls. I hope you had a wonderful break. The typtophan worked some wondrous magic on my insomnia. Ha. I can say our Thanksgiving was a total and utter success. The food was just delicious, with heapfuls of leftover fixings - bonus! And our fab company, a jumble of family and friends, happily squished themselves into our new nest. They ate til they burst, drank til they were tipsy - one passed out cold on our bed. There were some toothsome cakes from One Girl Cookies, hot pots of Persian tea and Italian coffee, followed by some jokes and a few slick dance moves.
Just about overnight, the city put on its prettiest party frock with glowy lights, fragrant firs, and the most clever Christmas window displays dazzling hoards of tourists wearing t-shirts. Can you believe it? T-shirts! It's absolutely gorgeous outside, such an unexpected treat for this time of year. Today's high was a whopping 67 degrees!
It's a new week and I have lots to share with you. First up, check out this beauty. An upscale brownstone for those out-of-towners traveling to The Big Apple and looking for an nice upgrade in the B&B department. The Inn at Irving Plaza is a darling little spot with an even more darling tea salon. Could be a brilliant option for your folks or maybe a sweetheart couple eyeing a more quaint and less sceney getaway in the city.
